A place manager can customize the create new document menu by re-ordering the document types, or adding a new document type.
Document types that have a document template can be added to the create menu by the place manager. The existing document types on the menu can be moved up or down in the list, or deleted from the list.
To customize the create menu:
- Go to your library.
- Click New.
- Select Customize this menu.
- Hover over the document type that you wish to change. Click the up and down arrows next to the document type name to change the place of the document type in the list. To delete the document type, click the trash can icon.
- To add a new document type, click Add More. In the Choose Document Type window, click the name of the document type. To see shared document types, click Shared. Click OK to add the document type and return to the Customize screen.
- When you have finished customizing the create menu, click OK to save your changes.
Only a document type that has an associated document template can be added to the create menu.
