Consider the following points when creating display templates for Enterprise Library Viewer.
- The template file should be encoded in UTF-8 (Unicode Transformation Format, 8–bit encoding form).
- Every element using a bindField, bindAttribute, or fixupIds attribute must have an ID specified, otherwise the parser will ignore these elements.
- Ensure that you take a backup of these templates, as any fix packs applied on enterprise library viewer will delete the display templates.
- If you have installed Lotus® Quickr™ on UNIX®, the names of the display templates should not contain the ! character. Names containing the ! character are not displayed in the list of available display templates in enterprise library viewer.
