When notification is enabled, users are sent e-mails when working with team calendars. When enabled, notification is active across the server.
Notification is enabled through changes to the WCMConfigService.properties file.
When enabled, all members of a place receive the event notifications.
Enabling team calendar email notification regresses calendar functionality. Be aware that if you choose to make these updates, you may lose calendar functionality.
Once the properties file has been updated and the server restarted, a user can enable e-mail notifications on an event by selecting Email event notices to Team Space members
in a new calendar entry. While Email event notices to Team Space members
is selected, any updates made to the event will result in a notification sent to all members of the place. Notifications are sent to the e-mail addresses specified in a user's profile.
To disable e-mail notifications, modify the <quickr_profile_root>
\PortalServer\wcm\shared\app\config\wcmservices\WCMConfigService.properties file back to its original settings.
Calendar notifications are supported for Lotus Notes versions 7 and 8 and Microsoft Outlook 2007. Ensure mail applications include the latest fixes.
