Before you begin uninstalling Lotus® Quickr™, you need to prepare your system for the uninstallation, and then select your method to uninstall.
Preparing to uninstall on AIX: qp85
Before uninstalling IBM® Lotus Quickr for WebSphere Portal, you must prepare your system; for example, adding passwords to the properties files and keeping or discarding database information.
Uninstalling with the graphical user interface on AIX: qp85
The uninstallation program provides you with the option of uninstalling IBM Lotus Quickr for WebSphere Portal only or uninstalling both Lotus Quickr and IBM DB2® using a graphical user interface (GUI).
Uninstalling with the console mode on AIX: qp85
The Lotus Quickr uninstallation program provides a console interface, which enables you to perform an interactive uninstallation from a command prompt. Multiple uninstallations are not supported. You should only perform one uninstallation at a time.
Uninstalling with a response file on AIX: qp85
IBM Lotus Quickr for WebSphere Portal can also be uninstalled from a command line through the use of a response file that can retrieve information that would otherwise be entered during the uninstallation. Uninstalling with a response file is suited to situations where the use of a graphical uninstallation program is impractical or not required. Use this uninstallation method when you want to uninstall Lotus Quickr on multiple systems with a similar setup.
Uninstalling manually on AIX: qp85
In most cases, you should follow one of the other choices for uninstalling IBM Lotus Quickr for WebSphere Portal. However, if the uninstallation program is not present or if an installation ended abnormally and did not create a complete and functional uninstallation program, then manually uninstall the product.
Uninstalling Lotus Quickr from a cluster on AIX: qp85
To uninstall all Lotus Quickr nodes in a cluster, you must uninstall each of the secondary nodes first, and then finally uninstall the primary node.
