Use the qptool password
command to change passwords for local members.
To change the password for an external member, change the member's entry in the user directory.
To change local member passwords, enter the following command at the server console:
load qptool password arguments

Table 1. Arguments for the qptool password command

|-u name ||Specifies of the name of the local member whose password you are changing. If the name has spaces, include quotations marks around the name, for example:|
|-pw password ||Specifies the new password.|
|-p place (s) ||Specifies a place or a space-separated list of places on which to change the user's password.|
|-i inputfilename ||XML input file located in the server program directory that specifies places on which to change the user's password.|
|-o outputfilename ||XML output file that logs the results of the command. By default the command logs results to qptool.password.xml in the server program directory.|

load qptool password -p placename -u joeuser -pw newpassword
