|To enable Domino Off-Line Services if your server runs on the Microsoft® Windows® or IBM® AIX® operating system, edit the Domino Directory and the notes.ini file.
To enable Domino Off-Line Services if your server runs on the Microsoft® Windows® or IBM® AIX® operating system, edit the Domino Directory and the notes.ini file.
Before you begin
Users who are members of external groups cannot take a place offline.
About this task
Perform the following steps:
- Start the Domino server.
- Open the Domino Directory, typically, names.nsf.
- Open the server's Server document in the directory.
- Click Internet Protocols - HTTP.
- Type the following value in the DSAPI filter file names field, if it is not already there:
Save the edited Server document.
Stop the Domino server.
Navigate to the Domino program directory, and open the Domino server's notes.ini file.
Add the two settings indicated in the following table to the notes.ini file:
- On Windows: ndolextn
- On AIX or Linux: libdolextn

Make sure there is a blank line at the end of the notes.ini file. Press Enter to create a blank line, if necessary.
Save the file.
Start the Domino server.
