Publish IBM® Lotus® Quickr™ documents to an ECM repository to make use of the advanced enterprise content management capabilities, such as records management and process management that these content repositories offer.
Once your Lotus Quickr documents are ready for document control or archiving, you can publish them to an ECM repository. When publishing, you can choose any of the following three publishing options:
|Copy||Creates a copy of the document in the ECM repository|
|Move||Moves the document to the ECM repository and deletes the original document from Lotus Quickr|
|Replace with a link||Moves the document to the ECM repository and replaces the original document in Lotus Quickr with a link to the ECM document|
Lotus Quickr documents are published to an ECM repository in an asynchronous manner. Thus, you don't need to wait for the completion of publishing of a large document to an ECM repository before proceeding to the next task. You can continue with your work in your place while the publishing operation is in progress. You can check the publish status of documents to the ECM repository from any of the following views available from the External Publish Views
|View name||View description|
|Published Externally by Me||Displays the status of Lotus Quickr documents that you attempted to publish to the ECM repository|
|All Externally Published Documents||Displays the status of Lotus Quickr documents that all the users with appropriate access to the library attempted to publish to the ECM repository |
|My External Publish Errors||Displays the Lotus Quickr documents that you could not publish successfully to the ECM repository |
|All External Publish Errors||Displays all the Lotus Quickr documents that could not be published successfully to the ECM repository|
The Published Externally by Me
and All Externally Published Documents
views do not display those Lotus Quickr documents that were successfully published to the ECM repository using the Move publish option.
The documents that have been copied to the ECM repository can be republished to the same location in the ECM repository.
