You can ignore my previous comment. I was using a laptop that was previously connected to a second monitor. When I tried it again this morning with the second monitor attached, the dialog box opened on the second monitor although I was using Symphony on the primary monitor. For some reason yesterday, the laptop still thought that the second monitor was still connected, and the Export pdf dialog box was opening up in the second monitor that was not connected. Therefore, I did not even know that the Export pdf dialog box was open. This made it appear that Symphony was locked up. Sorry for the confusion.

I used this functions often with previous versions of Symphony, but for some reason it is not working since I upgraded to 3.0.1. My Symphony locks up.

There's an enhancement request for more conditions in UI. Please vote for this function

BTW, You may consider using Style() formula to specify cell styles.

Why onll 3 conditional formatting options.

For the same spreadsheet I would like to have 9 formatting conditions. Is there a way to accomplish this?

Gallery directory

I think the Gallery directory is:

C:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\Symphony\framework\shared\eclipse\plugins\com.ibm.symphony.basis.gallery_3.0.0.20101015-2340\basis\share\gallery

But the folder names don't quite align with what I see in the Symphony sidebar. For example, the directory folder is "arrows" but the sidebar folder is "Arrows". Is this just a difference in how the default themes were created.

Also... you don't need to go through steps 1-3 of Adding new clip art. Just check the box next to the file(s) you want -- or download the Featured Clip Art zip (from the left nav) -- and they will download as a zip file.

Where is the default clip art gallery? When downloading clip art from online, it would be preferable to add to the existing directory. It would make it easier to avoid adding duplicate files to the gallery.

The folder named Symphony is the workspace. You can make a copy of the folder in another directory to backup.

Under importing templates step 6, I didn't get the choice under COMMANDS for 'import templates' until I changed 'documents' to 'templates' in the lower right of the dialog. Once I did that, I had the Commands I would expect. I am using Symphony Release 3.0.0 FP1 on a Macintosh in case that makes a difference.

I got as far as step 3 and then was confused by the vocabulary. I have a file folder named Symphony, is this what you mean by the workspace? or a file within the folder (none of which is named workspace). "Backup" - make a copy of the folder in another directory? "Delete" - delete the Symphony folder?

The code works well for me. I assign this macro to a button, when click the button, the code will execute and a Notes login dialog will pop up to prompt me to input passoword.

For Symphony 3, the part IDs to get the menus to show only on when a document is open are:

com.ibm.symphony.ui.writer

com.ibm.symphony.ui.spreadsheet

com.ibm.symphony.ui.presentation

for example, this entry in the plugin.xml results in a menu being visible only when a spreadsheet is open:
