Update software source first to include partner repository as the attachments indicate%sudo apt-get update%sudo apt-get install symphony
it is listed in package manager
Once you select the partner repositories and refresh the catalog in the package manager, Symphony will be available as an option in the GUI package manager tool (listed just below the software sources in the above screenshot)

Good job! Someone should make sure users can get to it from the "App Store" in Ubuntu (the "Add/Remove Applications" menu item) -- I usually try and recommend that my Ubuntu users stay away from the command line, and that would make installing Symphony a lot easier.
