This document list and describes some of the differences in preferences, menu commands, icons, and keystroke commands between Symphony 1.3 and Symphony 3.

General settings and preferences
Duplicate Formatting icon - Duplicate Formatting icon -
The All Properties button at the bottom of the Sidebar...
There is now a small white icon for More options to the right of each section in the Sidebar
View > Show ThumbnailsWindow > Show Thumbnails
Layout > Case/CharactersLayout > Change Case
File Type Associations under File > Preferences > Lotus Symphony > File Type AssociationsFile Associations settings have been removed from Lotus Symphony. File associations control the default program used to open different types of files. These associations should be set by the operating system.
New File icon - This icon has been removed from the default toolbar. There is a New File button on the same row as the file tabs, so the New File icon is redundant.

If you prefer the New File icon on the toolbar, you can add it back under File > Preferences > Symphony > Toolbar > Commands.
