If you successfully installed Symphony but couldn't launch it, or couldn't new/open a document, please follow the below instructions to collect logs and information then report the issue and data to Symphony support team.
1. Collect general information and logs following the steps in below link
2. Collect the environment variables
a. Install the tool processhacker-2.19-setup.exe.
3. Get more error logs from system event viewer.
You can download it from the website http://processhacker.sourceforge.net/ then install it and accept the default settings.
b. Launch Symphony, if there is error dialog pop up, keep the error dialog open, don't close it.
c. Launch the tool, find symphony.exe if it exists. Right click the process name and choose "properties", select Environment tab, select all variables with Shift key, press Ctrl+C and paste them in a text file.
d. Find soffice.bin if it exists and repeat the above step.
a. Open the Computer Management from Control Panel.
4. Get Symphony process event.
b. Open Event Viewer, check if there are any Symphony logs
a. Download Process Monitor from the website http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx
b. Launch Process Monitor
c. Select Menu Filter>Filter...
Add soffice.bin and soffice.exe as below picture.
e.Launch Symphony or new a document, the process monitor will record all operations of Symphony process.
f.Click Save button and save as a .PML format.
