You use the Content List widget to display a list of documents that are retrieved from the IBM® FileNet® Content Engine server. You can use this list to view the documents and their properties, version the documents and to download the documents.

The list of documents that is displayed in the Content List widget depends on how the Content List widget is configured.

In the Content List widget, you can:
  • Double-click documents to open them
  • Right-click in the Content List widget to perform basic operations, such as viewing, versioning, and downloading documents or editing document properties
  • Browse through the list of documents
Tip: For choice list data, the Content List widget displays the Item Value property instead of the Item Display Name property that is displayed in Workplace XT.

If you own the page that the Content List widget is on or have permission to edit the page, you can configure the widget. You can also wire other widgets to the Content List widget.
Configuring the Content List widget : ECM Widgets 4.5.2.1
You configure the Content List widget to indicate how documents listed in the widget are to be retrieved. Optionally, you can configure the widget to add custom actions to the pop-up menu.

Events for the Content List widget : ECM Widgets 4.5.2.1
The Content List widget uses events to communicate with other widgets.
