This article describes how you can provide anonymous users access to your pages. Unlike authenticated users who must first log into Mashup Center to view or edit pages, anonymous users do not have to provide credentials. Edit functions are not available for anonymous users.
To provide anonymous users with access to a mashup page, you must first give view access to the anonymous user role and then provide the users with the non-secure URL to the page. If you are working with an individual page that is not contained within a space, for example a page created in My Mashup Apps
mode, you can simply share the page and provide view access to the anonymous user role. If you are working with a page that is contained within a space, you must share the space itself in order to share any pages within the space.
To share a page or space with anonymous users, open the page or space actions menu in the palette, and select Share
. In the dialog box, in the Add to View
column, select Anonymous
. After you save your page or space, anonymous users can access a single page by going to the following URL:
is the host name of the Mashup Center server, port
is the server port, and pageid
is the page ID.
Anonymous users can access all the pages you have shared with them by going to the following URL:
Please be aware that the page ID values have changed from Mashups 2.0 to 3.0. Page IDs in Mashups 3.0 will be prefixed by the letter M. The following examples are for version 2.0 and 3.0 respectively.
The default welcome space is already shared with anonymous users, so they will be able to see the pages contained within that space as well.
Note that anonymous access is enabled by default. In order to disable anonymous access, administrators must locate MashupCenter_install_root\mm\config\ConfigService.properties and set the following two properties to false:
