The Sametime widget in IBM Mashup Center works differently than other Sametime clients. It is physically hosted on the IBM Mashup Center Server (or the Lotus Mashup portion of the IBM Mashup Center Server should your configuration include the splitting of installed components). As a result the true point of communication between your organization's Sametime environment and the Sametime widget is the Mashup server itself.

Think of the Mashup server having to act both as a client AND as another Sametime server to provide for communication. As a result TCP ports 1516 and 1533 must be open between the IBM Mashup Center Server and a single server (or servers) in your organizations IBM Lotus Sametime environment.

At present SSO (Single-Sign-On) is not supported by the Sametime widget.
