By default, Lotus Mashups pages are designed
with a default theme. You can add your own custom skins and themes by creating
and configuring a WAR file.
To create and configure a new WAR file, do the following steps:
- Create a WAR file as you normally do.
- Create a new root directory
for the themes, for example themes. Note that the root directory
name does not need to be unique for additional themes.
- Under the new root directory,
create a directory for each theme that you want to add. Note that these
directories must be unique across all the themes installed on the server.
- Create a new properties
file named mashups.properties, and add it to the WEB-INF directory
- Add the following property to the mashups.properties file:
themeRootDir=theme root directory name
where theme root directory name is the name of the root directory
you chose in step 2. Here
is an example of how your directory may look at this point:
- Use the WebSphere Application Server adminstrative console to
install the theme WAR file.
Now you are ready to use the theme in your mashup pages. You do not need
to restart the server.
If you decide to add a new theme to a WAR file that you have already deployed,
be sure to stop the server first. You will need to restart the server after
you redeploy the WAR file.
