You can add general proxy configuration parameters to the proxy-config.xml
file in the proxy plug-in by using meta-data
The following HTTP related parameters are defined by default
- This defines the default socket timeout in
milliseconds. The socket timeout defines the timeout the proxy server waits
for data after successfully establishing a connection with the target server.
The default value is 30,000 milliseconds (30 seconds). A timeout value
of zero is interpreted as an infinite timeout.
- This defines the number of retries that should
be performed if the proxy could not establish a connection with the target
server. The default value is two retries.
- This defines the number of HTTP connections
the proxy can open to connect to a specific host. The default value is
10 connections per host.
- This defines the maximum number of HTTP connections
that the proxy can open to connect to arbitrary target hosts. The default
value is 200 connections.
- If this parameter is set
to true, the proxy will connect to any HTTPS URL that is allowed by the
policy, regardless of whether or not it trusts the specified host. The
default setting is true, but the recommended setting is false.
Configuring the Passthru-Proxy / Boundary Proxy
You can also configure the proxy to make
a connection through a boundary (passthru) proxy. During the configuration
process, use the following meta-data values:
- The host name of the passthru
- The port of the passthru
- Optional: If
a user name and password are needed for the proxy, you can specify the
realm for the proxy so that the credentials do not get sent to any proxy.
If you do not specify any realm, any realm will be accepted and used for
- Optional: The user
name for the proxy.
- Optional: The password
for the proxy.
