As mashups technology becomes more and more commonplace, many frameworks are starting to emerge that do not interoperable seamlessly among themselves. IBM has proactively addressed this issue by developing an
iWidget specification that defines an open standard for this framework. Also, to help you understand how to implement this new framework as you create and deploy widgets in the Lotus Mashups environment, we have created a programming guide to accompany the iWidget specification.

Mashup Center 1.0
-
The Widget Programming Guide Version 1.0 provides all the essentials for developers who want to understand, create, and deploy widgets using the Lotus Mashups framework.
- The iWidget Specification Version 1.0 defines a simple component model for enhancing and extending interoperability among features supported by other frameworks support.
- The iWidget Specification Primer Version 1.0 accompanies the iWidget Specification Version 1.0 to show how you can develop widgets in a more sophisticated way as they connect to and leverage the framework into which they are embedded.
