The default Page Builder theme offers various default layout templates that you can apply to your pages. You can apply several columnar layout templates as well as a freeform layout template that allows you to drag and drop widgets and gadgets on your page as desired.
Before you begin
When you select a layout template, it is stored as a static page definition for the page. In other words, the page definition is a copy of the template as it is at the time when you assign the template to the page. If you share your page with other users, and those users edit the page, they are editing the static page definition, not the source layout template. Also, if you make changes to the original template later, those changes are not automatically applied to pages that use the template. This is because page definitions store a reference to the source template. Page authors can choose to refresh the page definition with the latest version of the source template, but in doing so, all edits they made to the static page definition directly are overridden.
