widget displays a portal page from a specified IBM® WebSphere® Portal URL. When users first access the widget in the mashup application, they have to log in with their credentials to display the page.
When configuring the Portal
widget, type the URL of the portal server you wish to log in to, for example http://servername:10038/wps/portal
, where servername
is the name of the portal server.
Your administrator must create a URL that maps to the portal page. Details about how to do this are located in the Administrator
category in the Mashup Center wiki.
: When viewing the Portal
widget in the mashup builder using a Safari browser, the portal page may display outside the widget container.

: Add your company's portal page to your mashup so that users can log in and access the portlets without leaving the page.
- Drag the Portal widget onto the page.
- Click the display menu in the upper right corner of the widget frame, and select Edit Settings.
- In the configuration window, type the URL of the portal server in the Portal URL field, for example http://servername:10038/wps/portal, where servername is the name of the portal server.
- Click Save. Now users can log into the portal server and access the portlets without leaving the mashup page.
