You configure the Work Data widget to reorder and hide the work data fields. In addition, you can update data fields to reflect changes made to processes in Workplace XT.
About this task
To configure the Work Data widget, you first add the processes that are to be displayed. You can then reorder and hide the data fields.
You cannot add the Work Data widget on a page that contains the Work Data eForm widget. In addition, you can have one instance of the Work Data widget on a page.
To add the data fields for a process to the Work Data widget:
- Change to edit mode and then click Edit Settings on the widget menu.
- Click Add.
- From the drop-down list, select a process that is to be displayed in the Work Data widget and click OK.
- Reorder or hide the fields for the process as necessary:
- In the Processes area, select the process.
- Click Edit.
Important: Do not hide write-only fields. If you hide these fields, users will be unable to launch the process and complete the step.
The sequence of process step parameters depends on the mapping between the step parameters and the data fields. Reordering the data fields affects all of the process steps. At run time, step parameters that are not mapped to data fields are listed in alphabetical order after the parameters that are mapped.
What to do next
If this step processor page will be used for more than one process, repeat this procedure to select and configure additional processes.
If a process is updated in Workplace XT, click Update
and follow the instructions. After the processes are updated, review the order and display of the fields for changes.
