This topic describes how to sandbox a widget for all users. First, you must configure a global palette so that the changes are persisted to the user's personal palettes of all users. Second, you must add metadata to the widget's catalog_default.xml file, which is located in the WAR package.
About this task
To sandbox a widget for all users, do the following steps:
- Do the following steps to configure and update a global palette so that your changes will be made available to all users:
- For each widget that you want to sandbox, open the widget's definition file, and add the following attribute, for example:
- Update the global palette. See Step 7 in Creating a global palette for users : Mashup Center 2.0 for more information.
- Add a new entry ID to catalog_default.xml, located in the WEB-INF folder inside the widget's WAR file. Be sure to set the sandbox_definition attribute to true, as shown in the following example:
