Before you begin
Before you begin, be sure that the Mashup Center server is running.
To edit the default palette for users, do the following steps:
- Locate Mashup_Center_install_root/mm/config/catalog_template.xml, and open it in an editor.
- Make the changes that you want to show up in your users' palettes. You can add include elements to include additional catalog XML files, edit widgets, and add categories.
- Save your changes.
- Run the following command to import the updated palette template:
config.bat(sh) import-config-file -DMMImportFileDir="full path to file\catalog_template.xml"
Note: If you included any additional catalogs in your XML file, you will need to import those files as well.
- Optional: If you want to persist your changes to existing users as well, follow the steps in Restoring the default palette : Mashup Center 2.0 to restore the default palette.
Now, when new users log on to Mashup Center, their palettes will consist of the edits you made to the widgets and categories in catalog_template.xml.
