The Web Site Displayer
widget displays a Web site. You can either configure the Web Site Displayer
widget to display a particular Web site by specifying a fully qualified URL, or you can wire the Web Site Displayer
widget to receive a URL string from another widget on the page.
When configuring the Web Site Displayer
widget with the URL of a Web site, confirm that the site is trusted and does not contain any malicious code. If you are not sure, mark the widget as non-trusted before you drag it onto the mashup page. To learn how to mark widgets as non-trusted, see the Marking widgets as trusted and non-trusted
Also, certain Web sites may be designed to display only in a browser and not inside a frame. If you configure your widget with one of these sites, the Web site will open in its own browser and not in the widget. Users can simply click Back
to return to the Mashup Center page.
To display a Web site, configure the widget to point to a valid URL on the Web. The URL must be fully qualified, for example http://www.ibm.com. Note that the Web Site Displayer
widget does not send content to other widgets on the page. It only receives content to display a Web site.
See the following table to learn which events the Web Site Displayer
widget can send and receive:
Table 1. Web Site Displayer events
