Use the Numeric Subtract function to return the arithmetic difference between two numeric values.
The Second Value is subtracted from the First Value. Unless the order of the values makes a difference, specify the larger of the two values for the First Value. Otherwise a negative number is returned.
For the Value
field for each of the parameters, choose one of the following actions:
- Specify a text value. (For this function, specify a numeric value.)
- Specify a function value.
- Use a variable to return the value.
- Specify a value from the Input tree.
The first numeric value that you want to subtract.Second Value
The second numeric value that you want to subtract.
This function returns a single Numeric value.
You can use multiple numeric functions together to form an arithmetic expression. If your feed contains information about the salary, overtime pay, and contributions for a set of employees, you can calculate the money owed to the employees by using the Add and Subtract functions together.
