You can create feeds using the general Tivoli® Directory Integrator source or specialized Tivoli Directory Integrator-based feed data sources.
Using the general Tivoli Directory Integrator feed data source
When you select Tivoli Directory Integrator
from the list of feed data sources, you are using the general TDI source, which includes the entire list of TDI-based feed types. You access the TDI feed types using a basic set of input parameters. The general TDI sources do not display the specialized parameter tools that are unique to certain feed types.
Using the specialized Tivoli Directory Integrator-based feed data sources
When you select one of the specialized TDI-based data sources, the parameters for that specific source are displayed. Some of the specialized TDI data sources have custom user interfaces that contain additional parameters or features. Following are the specialized TDI-based feed data sources:
The specialized LDAP Directory feed data source includes the Search Filter Helper tool. The general TDI source does not include this tool.
The specialized SAP Application Functions feed data source includes the Add Parameter tool, which enables you to specify additional input parameters for the Business APIs (BAPI) Remote Function Call (RFC) that you want to use. The general TDI source does not include this tool.
There is no difference between the Domino Server
and the Tivoli Directory Integrator
Domino® feed data source types.
