I am configuring LMC 6.1.3 (on SUSE Linux) to work with Traveler 8.5.1 (on Win 2008) using the "reverse proxy" topology specified in the LMC InfoCenter (see http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/domhelp/v8r0/topic/com.ibm.help.lnt851.doc/Plan_reverse_proxy.html
I tested from the LAN (connecting directly using to Traveler) using a Nokia E71 and everything worked fine. However, to do the same via the Internet (now thru LMC) is a problem. Ports 80, 443 and 8642 are enabled from the external firewall. From the Internet, I can get to the LMC login page & login & then download & install the client successfuly. But when it tries to connect, it then says "could not connect to server xx.myco.com. check your userid, password server name settings".
I believe the problem is on the LMC server because the port 8642 is not configured to forward traffic to the Traveler server. The LMC InfoCenter on the URL above says "If you are using IBM® Lotus Notes Traveler Windows Mobile or Nokia clients, you also need to configure port forwarding of the TCP AutoSync connection (which, by default, is TCP port 8642). The firewall or reverse proxy may be able to provide this forwarding support, and you should reference the documentation on the firewall or reverse proxy for setup information"
How do I configure this on LMC?
