I have a client that is a Domino shop. The CEO recently switched from Blackberry to an iPhone which opened the floodgates. I have them setup with Traveler 8.5.1 and they were happy until they realized that you can't create a calendar invite from the phone. This company recently purchased another company with appx. the same # of users. The company they purchased is an Exchange shop. There has been some discussion about whether they should stay with Domino or move to Exchange. It had been pretty much decided that they would stay with Domino but now that this has come up the guys pushing to move to Exchange have seized upon it as yet another Domino "deficiency" since you are able to create calendar invites on the iPhone if you're using Exchange.
I know that in the release notes for Traveler they mention that this restriction will be fixed in a future release but of course I can't find anything specifying when that "future" will arrive.
I'm hoping to avoid any more surprises when it comes to iPhone features supported by Exchange vs. those supported by Domino/Traveler and have been looking for a document that outlines exactly what features are and are not supported when synching the iPhone with Exchange vs. synching it with Domino/Traveler. So far I haven't been able to find anything but thought that someone here might have run across (or even created) something like this.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
