2008-11-18 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ...
Hermann Czedik-Eysenberg has since modified his extension to handle notes protocals. Many thanks, it is awesome and not just for the purpose that was described in this thread.
It is called "Server Switcher".
(if that doesn't work try "server" as your search term in the mozilla add-ons Web site).

Does anyone know if someone (Lotus or otherwise) has or is currently developing a Firefox extension that would allow the Web user to right click on a Web page that is a notes document (or link within a document) and have the associated Lotus Notes document open within Lotus Notes?
That is, from a domino web page, be able to open the Lotus Notes document via a menu option. I hope that is clear enough.
Technically, I think it can be done using an API. I probably don't need to elaborate on the practical uses for an extension like this as there would be many.
Oh yeah, and if you are still using Internet Explorer then you might as well be using your computer for a door stop.
I recommend the following extensions:
Copy Plain Text 0.3.2
Html Validator 0.7.9.3
IE View 1.2.7
View Cookies 1.5
View Source Chart 2.0.02
Web Developer 1.0.2
Feel free to add more extension ideas and recommendations to this thread.
