Stephen A Savard 23.Oct.08 05:30 PM a Web browser Notes Client 7.0.2 Windows Vista
I'd like to think I can figure stuff like this out since I've been using Notes for 10+ years; but I installed Notes 7.0.2 on Windows Vista as a multi-user install, and I can't find the Notes data directory to save my life.
Normally, on XP it's in Doc & Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\Lotus\Notes\Data folder
However, all of my attempts to get to the "Local Settings" folder (indicated by a link without permission to follow) are in vane even with full administrative privileges. To top that off, I set the folder options to show everything, and a search of the entire C drive turns up nothing when searching for names.nsf. This is despite the fact that Notes runs perfectly, and it "says" the files are in c:\Program Files\Lotus\Notes\Data... which they do not in a multi-user install (and confirmed by viewing that folder).
What blows me away is the utter lack of an answer to this question via this forum or Google.
This is extremely frustrating, and yet another reason I'm pointing people to the Mac platform over Vista.
