Scenario 1:
- Notes 8 Standard Multiuser Install.
- Install it manually.
- Select all of the Features (Sametime, Editors, Activities, Composite App Editor).
- Install the program files into c:\Lotus8\Notes8.

Result 1:
I am left with a folder situated at c:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\Notes\Data without anything in it. Im not sure why that is.

Scenario 2:
- Notes 8 Standard Multiuser Install.
- Install it via Command Line (automated).
- Pass all of the features (Sametime, Editors, Activities, Composite App Editor) using new SELECTINSTALLFEATURES= parameter.
- Install the program files into c:\Lotus8\Notes8 using PROGDIR= parameter.
- Pass the multiuser install using TRANSFORMS= parameter.
- Transform file is only configured to install multiuser, with everything else left at the defaults.

Result 2:
I am left with a folder situated at c:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\Notes\Data with a workspace folder in it containing .config, .metadata, applications, logs, etc.

Scenario 3:
- Notes 8 Standard Multiuser Install.
- Install it via Command Line (automated).
- Pass all of the features (Sametime, Editors, Activities, Composite App Editor) using new SELECTINSTALLFEATURES parameter.
- Install the program files into c:\Lotus8\Notes8 using PROGDIR= parameter.
- Pass the multiuser install using TRANSFORMS= parameter.
- Transform file is configured to install multiuser, *** but I also have the Program directory inside of the transform file specified the same as I do for the PROGDIR= parameter.

Result 3:
Same results at Scenario 2.

Summary:
Scenario 2 and 3 seem to be the problem area. With the manual and command line installs functioning differently I can't assume everything is installed correctly. Something is different when installing manually versus command line...at least with the 'multiuser' standard Notes 8 client. This also creates the scenario where the Open Office program opens in a new window as opposed to a new tab, but only when opened from the Home tab. When opened from the Open drop down they open in a new tab as they should. I’m still learning my way through this, but I believe the behavior is related to the differences in the installation results. Any help on this topic is appreciated. I have not posted this a product problem yet until im sure its repeatable.
