We are trying to automate Lotus Notes with external application.
After a long search on the topic of which API to use we've decided to go with C++ API. We have also considered to go with COM but it seems that C++ has more power to start with.

The question is how we can do that? I've started a sample application. Here is the start of the code. It all works, meaning that I've setup up everything properly:

LNDatabase db;

Session.Init ();
cout << Session.GetUserName ();

What I need, as an for example, is to open a new calendar item, set some values and save it. Can someone help me by writing example code to get me started? I'm really new to it. Previously I used Outlook COM object model without any problems.
