No -- that is to prevent JavaScript alerts/inputs/confirmations from masquerading as system messageboxes. It was possible in the early days (1990s), but it was used maliciously often enough to be eliminated from all browsers years ago. (These days, the trick used is an overlay div styled to look like a system message, but it will only work on the OS and theme you're targeting -- a Vista pop-up on a Mac doesn't fool too many people.)
