That sort of Item is normally created by using the formula @InheritedDocumentUniqueID in a computed-when-composed text field; the item type is converted when the document is saved. There is no direct equivalent in LotusScript. You could try treaating the item as a NotesRichTextItem and appending a doclink, then running ComputeWithForm, but I'm not sure that would get you where you want to go (it probably won't, seeing as the field is computed when composed). That leaves you with either the C API (which will let you set the field type flags and the doclink struct directly, but leaves you to deal with endianness) or DXL. DXL is probably easiest to work with (with the acknowledgement that "easy" is relative).
