Neil Wainwright 15.Nov.03 12:10 AM Lotus Notes
Domino Server 6.5 Windows XP

I've got a lot of JSP experience and 11 years of Notes/Domino. My two biggest beefs with Domino web development are:
  1. Table cell attributes...why can't we still after all this time just override the width least!
  2. Database launch attributes...why not simiar to the element picker for hotspots and the like?

Yeah, I know for #1 I can use CSS and override the width (at least I think I can...I just thought about it) and for #2 I can launch a page with a re-direct, but it's not the same. I shouldn't have to be a guru to do this. @WebDbName and @UrlQueryString a two great simple things that make life easier for developers...and I hope IBM keeps the momentum going with attention to these types of details.

I guess another beef would be better controls over view rendering...including categorized views. (without having to resort to CSS and/or treat as html).
