RE: Programmable Tables R5 vs R6 Bernardina M Loukota 14.Aug.06 10:50 AM a Web browser Applications Development 6.0Windows 2000
Hi, Narasimhan - OK....I mentioned switching tabs because the originators want to be able to re-enter the document (containing 4 tabs - 1)Basics; 2) Facts 3)Summary 4) Approvals) once they originally saved it and fill in other fields on other tabs w/o a problem BEFORE submitting (from Approvals tab). That is what I meant. Thereafter, once they have submitted the document, an email gets sent to the first approver; when they (approver) click on the link and enter the document, it should appear with the Approvals tab open...where the accept/reject buttons are. If the approvers want to check out any of the other tabs, they should be able to, but basically, they want to have the doc open up from the Approvals tab.
Readers Digest version if the document is a new doc; the user wants to be able to start entering the required fields (Basics tab) and/or submit for approval (from the Approvals tab). If they don't submit the first time because they may need more data before submitting, they want to be able to save. Later when they enter the document they want to be able to access either of the other 2 tabs; fill in data; then submit from the Approvals tab.
I sure hope this makes sense. And I truly appreciate your help. I am just baffled as to why it worked great in R5, but not in R7?????
