I am rather sure that you can not use QV views to perform @DbLookup.
If the DB2 data is not changed very often, you can synchronize it with a Notes database and never perform "live" lookup to DB2. An hourly scheduled agent can run synchronization to get the latest DB2 data. Or you can use LEI for same task. I would consider an hourly synchronization solution if DB2 result is 100.000 records or less and preferrably if Notes data do not need to be written back to DB2.
I have a simple synchroniser application if you do not want to use LEI... and it's much faster than LEI. A disadvantage with it is that it always convert data to text and do not write back to DB2, but in most cases it is not a problem as you do not want to write unverified data to DB2.
