Repro steps... Class + Refresh bug
Eric Bickle 9.Jun.06 09:20 PM Lotus Notes
Domino Designer 6.5.5 Windows XP

USE or USELSX failures after refreshing classes
  • Using Domino Designer 6.5.5
  • Create a new template
  • Create one script library in the template
  • Add the following code to the script library:
      Class TestClass
      Public Sub RunTest
      Messagebox "This Is A Test"
      End Sub
      End Class
  • Create a new, blank database
  • Copy & paste the class script library from the template into the database. Choose "Yes" to have element level template linking between the two.
  • Create a new LotusScript agent, place the following code in the "(Options)" section:
      Option Public
      Use "TestClassScriptLibrary"
  • Place the following code in the agent's Initialize function:
      Dim TestObject As TestClass
      Set TestObject = New TestClass
      Call TestObject.RunTest
  • Execute the agent. A message box will appear with the words "This Is A Test"
  • Close the agent & script library code windows.
  • Open the script library in the template, and add a private field to the class, so it looks like this:
      Class TestClass
      Private A as Long

      Public Sub RunTest
      Messagebox "This Is A Test"
      End Sub
      End Class
  • Refresh the database (the script library will be updated from the template)
  • Execute the agent. The error message "Type mismatch on external name: TESTCLASS" is displayed.
