Kevin Morris 4.Aug.05 09:24 AM a Web browser
Applications Development 6.5.2 Windows 2000

I made a web version of the form in one of my databases. The web version is called webDetails and the notes version is called notesDetails. They both have an alias of Details. I wanted to add a popup calendar to the web version so I found one in javascript that I coudl use. I added all the code and followed all the instructions (except that they were for adding it to HTML and not into the Notes designer. But I think I did it right.) Anyway when I click on the link to bring up the calender I get this:

An error has occurred in the script on this page
Line 135
Char 1
Error: Object expected
Url: http://localhost/ITProjects.nsf/Details?Openform

The code for the link is:
<a href="#" onClick="getCalendarFor(document._Details.dateWeStart);return false">[Choose one]</a>

If I change the from name to _webDetails, the error changes to document._webDetails.dateWeStart is null or not an object.

I sure this is something simple, but I don't understand. My form is called webDetails | Details and there is a field on that form called dateWeStart. So what am I missing. (I don't think that the same field exists on the notes version. Not sure if that matters. My field was originally called dateStart. But just to make sure that name didn't conflict with some reserved word, I changed it to dateWeStart but I still get the error.

And is there some way to debug javascript using designer?

And thanks in advance for any help you might give me and for all the help you've given me in the past.
