Notes Client 6.5.1 Windows XP

Hello
Recent changes in some ISPs (Comcast is definately one of them) now require SSL setup in your POP3 E-mail client.
This is causing the following error in the Lotus Notes 6x Client setup for retrieving POP3 Mail:
"POP3 Protocol Error Returned" on replication page of the Notes 6.5.1 client when trying to receive POP3 mail.

An older client sometimes gives this error msg
"Internet Messaging Configuration Invalid or parts not available"

Also when trying to send mail the error:
SMTP Protocol Error Returned
Failed with SMTP smtp.comcast.net: 04:22 PM Today

It was working fine and MS Outlook works also! Tried variations of notes SSL configuration with no luck!

Is the SSL setup in Lotus Notes compatible with the Comcast mail.comcast.net Server??If so what are the notes client settings for the POP3 and SMTP accounts in the Personal NAB and what ever else is needed??

Others are having the same problem see:

Also should try this but do not expect much from results
To get some more information add this to your notes.ini:
SMTPClientDebug=3
SMTPDebug=3
POP3ClientDebug=1
SMTPDEBUGIO=3
SMTPIODEBUG=3
DEBUG_OUTFILE=c:\NotesDebug.txt

older issue but suggests pop server name or wrong password in the account doc

It is true a wrong password can cause the error
https://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/46dom.nsf/DateAllThreadedWeb/74d5646fd68305e9852568de000cff72?OpenDocument
This is an older issue and it seems there is another newer cause for most of the new issues such as SSL config now required.
