Adding the IP address to the 'Optional network address' field hasn't made any difference as I've had one of the two agents fail over the weekend.
Both agents in question ran perfectly OK for about 3years when the servers were running R5.08. There's been no changes to the agents since the servers were upgraded.
The one thing that springs to mind is that the agents run when the backup runs (and there have been some changes to the backups recently). I'm now going to change the timing of the agents so that they're not running at the same time to eliminate the backups as a cause of the problem.
