I have a form with an editable field of type Date/Time. I can type in any character string, it will be often transform to a normal date before the application program get the control. In exemple I type in 14%&u I will get the value 14.06.2009 or I type in 14.06.=z2009 I will get also 14.06.2009. But on some strings, in example 14.06.=o2009 I get the error message from Notes 'Unable to interpret Time or Date'.
I cannot get the wrong value neither on input translation, input validation or the event exiting because the wrong value will be catched by Notes before and it will by tried to interpret the string as an date value. So I get often a correct value although the user have typed in an incorrect string.
This is not good when I am using this value to process, in example to search for documents to deleting. I think this is a fatal error by Notes to chane a wrong value to a normal value automatically without any commentThink about this case. You type in a wrong value and you got another value maybe to book out among of money from your private bank account.
Is there any way to catch the original value the user typed in and control it by the application program.
