Domino Administrator All Releases AIX

As you say, checking or changing User Preferences.

A few other reasons that come to mind - I know there are more...

Checking/changing database properties (Replication Settings/History, User Detail, database settings)

Setting Out of Office when user forget to

Troubleshooting Mail File Corruption issue

Troubleshooting reported mail delivery problem

Troubleshooting reported Rules problem

Troubleshooting problem with corrupt Folders

(update) As Stan pointed out in another post, any agent signed by you that runs in or touches a mail file can appear to be you accessing the mail files. For example, if you signed the mail template, or an agent in the mail template, when that agent runs it will appear to be you.

I 'always' make sure that I have a documented issue if I were to open someone's mail. It's amazing how quickly you can forget why you opened Bob's mail file on April 15th 2009.

And... I probably should go back and re-sign all my agents with the admin ID instead of my own....
