Have you checked the system date/time on the user's machine? Occasionally, people will use the Windows date/time settings dialog to check the calendar for, say, a weekday in the future. The problem with that is if they're not careful they can actually set their machine to a date in the future (or past, obviously), but the system might not let them send greetings from 2017 in 2013.
