So here's our situation.
We are running 6.5.4 servers, but we are also running a highly-customized mail template based on R4. [Yes, R4.]
So the question is, with the upcoming change in DST, how will calendar objects react in this situation?
More specically, there are a handful of fields that seem to be related to the date/time of a calendar object -- StartDateTime, EndDateTime, StartDate, ReminderTime, TimeRange, RepeatStartDate, RepeatDates, and CalendarDateTime.
The simple thing for me to do is to write an agent that will update the value(s) in these fields so that anytime we use a time from the new start of DST and the old start (and the old end and the new end). The question I have is that given I'm running on 6.5x servers, am I safe in doing this, or is there some subtle process happening in the background that I don't know about, that I somehow need to accound for in doing these updates.
