Doug Finner 1.Mar.12 07:21 AM a Web browser Domino Server6.5.4Windows 2003
We run both Notes/Domino 6.5.4 (client only apps) and Oracle Apps 11i. A few of our users are seeing the IE/Java based Oracle client lock up at login. The problem appears to be related to the jvm.dll versions on the machine; one for Oracle and another for Notes.
We tried an experiment where we switched all the jvm.dlls to the Oracle version. On my machine this seemed to work for a while. I was doing dev work yesterday and at one point the server locked up with a jvm error.
I don't use java for any of my apps and no apps are accessed via a web client.
Is there any way that a jvm on a client machine could cause the server to lock up?
As a side note, we are moving to version 8.5.x. I tried swapping the dll's on a test box to use the Oracle jvm file and the Notes client wouldn't even start; in this case since 8.5 is built on Eclipse, I'm assuming that there's no way I can muck with the jvm versions.
