If you only need to select the forms in the database, you can just use:
ncAllForms.SelectForms = True
It looks to me like SetSelection() is a utility function that simply does collection.SelectWhatever = True on whatever type of note you pass in as a string, and I'm guessing it would use a Select-Case block to do that. It wouldn't do much useful in a simple function like this one, but it would save a lot of tedious typing if you wanted to select several different types of note, or if you wanted to allow the user of the code to decide which type of note to use at run-time.
