I'm with Carl on this. I don't recall any way to automagically convert a parent into a child on paste. You can write queryPaste code to do that for you (I think). Once long ago in a database far away I needed to link mailed in docs as children to a user specified parent. It was a 'checkmark the children, start code, pick the parent from a list, link them' thing so not at all keyboard centric.
