User notified when (old) reservations are deleted

Domino Server 6.5.5 FP1 Windows 2003

I manually delete old reservations from the Resource Reservations database for company policy reasons.

When I do this, meeting chairs receive email notifications from each resource stating "Reservation Deleted: (meeting subject line)" and "Meeting Resource Not Reserved"

Is there a way to disable these notifications ?
