The promt for password was aborted by user

Notes Client 6.5.2 Windows XP
Hello everyone
I have a strange problem with a user:
After a Notes client crahs last week, he was never prompted for his password. Therefore i wanted to check if his "Single Sign on" is enable. But if I want to enter the security settings on his client, I get the following error mesage: "the promt for password was aborted by user".
Does any one has an idea? It worked without a problem before hit client crash...
