Angel J Ayala 4.Aug.11 12:07 PM a Web browser Notes Client7.0.2Windows Vista
I am seeing a small percentage of some of our new machines (which are now coming imaged with Windows 7 and Lotus Notes 7.0.2) experiencing issues with reading emails over the course of several days. What typically happens is at some point these few users hit an upper threshold somewhere in their mailfiles (regardless of local vs server mailfile being used), and the only way to get them back up and running is to shut the Notes client down and delete the contents of the Notesxxxx temp folder under the "C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp" folder. At first this appeared to be a permissions issue, but now I'm not so sure. I have 100's of other users with this same configuration and they aren't experiencing even a small hiccup anywhere, but I have a handful that are problematic, and consistently so.
Might anyone have a more permanent solution? Something other than "Notes 7.x is not compatible with Windows 7" would be nice, considering I have shown that not to be the case [as have others] would be nice.
